Thank you for visiting www.ablivesurf.com here in Atlantic Beach on the beautiful Bogue Banks of North Carolina. The site was first launched in October of 2005 and is located at the historic Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier. Since launching the site I have received thousands of compliments which have been so rewarding. These compliments are a driving force for the site. AbLiveSurf is the direct result of a dream my little brother, Tony Butler of WbLiveSurf in Wrightsville Beach, had of having a local surfing website. It has become a reality for our local and surrounding communities.

After the first day my brother and I started surfing in the early 80’s, the surfing culture and lifestyle have been our life and it consumes every bit of our souls. We love helping others experience a day in the life of being a surfer through this great website. If you’re surfing, fishing or you just love the beach this site is designed to provide you with the local information you want and need.

The reason this site is so successful is that we actually check the waves with our feet in the sand. We update it in person multiple times daily, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year with daily photos to prove it. Hard work, consistency, and dedication to a surfing lifestyle and community make this site successful, unique, and fresh.
